Hi Shannon,

I totally get the covering yourself bit. I'm keen to know what exactly in DMSI (or what effect/impact of DMSI) necessitated a legal disclaimer.

I posted a list of additions earlier today. But mainly I don't want a situation where someone does something stupid and then attempts to blame me or IML for it and sue us out of existence.

For example, RTBoss knows what he's getting himself into, and he accepts responsibility for the outcomes... but will every married man (or woman) do the same?

What if someone decides this is an easy way to commit statutory rape and blame someone else?

How about someone doing something stupid, contracting an STI or causing a pregnancy, and then attempting to blame us?

And so forth.

Fair enough and thanks for responding.

May I please direct your attention to this post (http://subliminal-talk.com/thread-7975-p...#pid143769) of mine... where I talk about a few unwanted effects of using DMSI (e.g. weight gain, poor quality sleep and really messy place).

Will it be possible to tackle these in future versions of DMSI?
My poor computer. It is, right now, downloading a copy of MIR 2.1 because I accidentally deleted it during backup; backing up my hard disk (requiring decryption of the data and triple re-encryption); mixing down a lot of tracks; and dealing with my various other activities (22 browser tabs, 8 word processors, etc.)

Hope I don't kill it.

This, by the way, is why Windows apparently prefers suicide to doing what I want it to do.

Some of those are not side effects - some of those are attempts at self sabotage and resistance. And DMSI 3.0.1 has ASS/ART: Anti-Self Sabotage/Anti-Resistance Technology. That's why it took me so long to make.

So I have already anticipated your desire and now you can just use 3.0.1 and see if it changes anything.

EDIT: Oh, almost forgot, 3.0.1 also includes a module for preventing negative side effects.

Oh! I didn't realise that these were signs of resistance and attempts at self sabotage *gulp*

Thank you for doing something about it in the coming version. Looking forward to v3.0.1 in that case.

Any thoughts/suggestions on what to do (apart from not stopping the sub) in case the resistance and/or self sabotage resurface in DMSI (most likely not because off ass/art as you mentioned) or any other sub?

Edit: fixed typo

You're welcome. Well i did some energy work on you to allow you to persevere and continue with your work on DMSI, followed by a general boost to help you overcome fatigue. You can decide if it helped or not Big Grin

Seems to have. Whatever the case is, I am not stopping until this is done.

Let's see what happens with 3.0.1 first.

from Shannon's journal:

More good news/bad news. The bad news is... I just managed to accidentally delete MIR 2.0 and 2.1, scripts and all, and I have no backup of the scripts. Because I deleted them after backing them up... only to find that the operation failed. WEEKS of work has been lost.

Ouch! :o That sucks big time!!

Yes, so now I am fighting depression while trying to maintain productivity. Delightful.
damn that sucks Shannon, I'd suggest getting a free copy of aomei backupper. You select a folder, choose an external hard drive, and set a schedule and it will autobackup the files in that folder for you.

A simple copy operation is infallible... unless the drive is full. And the error message shows up on Desktop 4, when you're deleting the files on Desktop 6, 13 hours after the backup would have finished otherwise.

For security reasons, I cannot leave these backup drives decrypted and connected to the computer unless I am actually doing a backup.

I am falling back on E2 for a bit, hopefully I can recover my emotional state to a point where I can calculate the ASRB ratio. If I can do that, I can finish building A. Might be a slow ass build, but at least it'll get done. If I can just get myself to the point that I can load the variables into the models...

Right now I feel like someone just died.
Jesus suddenly alpha is right about these days.

If I recall, he said it would be a bad idea to release. I did not release. But something is certainly going on. And usually when this sort of pattern of BS happens, I can find a correlation the same way he probably did.

Only right now I'm too upset to sleep and too tired and depressed to care.
