I'm still a big believer in the healing module you put in 2.2 because after a few weeks I felt like my muscles were so relaxed like I had just had a massage. I can still feel that kind of relaxation even now.

I guess my only input on this point would be this:
it seems to me from my experience that I'm in a car in park. I start the car and put my foot on the gas and my other foot on the brake. Then I put the car in drive. Then I add more and more gas. But the car doesn't go any where because the brake is still on. So it seems that with each version the attraction and arousal gets higher (adding more and more gas) but it doesn't seem to go any where because there is that metaphoric brake on (women disappearing, being avoidant, being inhibited, you know the drill...). So I don't know what might be going on... sure add more and more gas... but something needs to be done about the brake and unfortunately I don't know what to offer you. I just know that is my experience and the best metaphor I can think of.

Yeah, we are trying to figure out what's causing the braking action. That's what's holding me back right now - I'm not sure what's doing that!

Thank you for such a blunt answer. I've wondered about such factors as familiarity, trust, "she has no context to understand why she feels like this", comfort, disinhibition, "imagined social validation for acting on her feelings with the user", "her feelings fitting into a socially approved agenda", "possibility of a future", attachment,... but I don't know if I have any thing definitive and specific, just concepts.

With women, it seems they can always think of a way that it's not "just right" so they can avoid sex or attachment. The ordinary guy is nothing special so he's disqualified. The awesome guy is too awesome and he might have too many options so he's disqualified. The prince charming is too perfect. The guy next door isn't perfect enough. Etc. So it's not about who the guy is, I think it's more the process of women needing to disqualify so they feel in control or empowered, or like if they have sex or feel attached then they lose something or give up their only bargaining chip. I don't know how to best phrase it.
Hey Shannon.

I'm still on E2 (been on it since release date), classes just started, and I feel like my emotions are being dulled (just started happening). Like it's hard for me feel joy at the moment. I'm experiencing a cluster of disappointment, fear/anxiety, and a general "blah" (neutral, a bit zen-like) feeling. Everything feels so boring, but I don't necessarily feel sad, mainly bored. It seems like I get headaches if I listen over 12 hours now which wasn't the case when I started, so I guess I'm executing more now.

I also remember reading on here that you said it's best to avoid challenging the beliefs the program is instilling before they're solid. For that reason, I haven't been interacting with attractive girls that much.

My question is: what should I do? If I could permanently outgrow guilt, shame, and fear/anxiety, that'd be great! But I'm not gonna stick with E2 for years.

I think you're trying to simplify it too much.

Every woman is a "unique and special snowflake", and every one has hundreds of tumblers to her "sex lock". And, every one has different tumblers and requires a slightly different key!

So one might be comparing all men to Disney's Prince Charming subconsciously, and rejecting them, one after another, because they don't measure up to this perfect lie she was told to expect when she was 4, 5, 6, 7... and I am not kidding, this actually happens a lot more than you'd think, and it's part of why I don't like Disney.

And another one might be looking for the rich guy, but not too rich, cause then he's out of her perceived league... and that league and thus definition of "rich enough" and "too rich" is unique for every one of them, of course.

And the next one wants the Bad Boy, and only if he shits all over her self esteem will she put out, cause that's what daddy did, and daddy is who she learned what "love" is.

Then there's the next one who's a control freak, and she will only have sex with the man she can dominate and manipulate with her sex organs, and there's the hippie chick who wants to have sex with every guy she feels anything for because free love, man! And on and on.

You can't say "women" and be talking about the same thing for all of them, except that they're genetically women.

I think you may be overexposing yourself. Try dropping to 1-2 hours a day and see what happens. You may need time to process more than you're giving yourself.

Thanks for the fast response. I'll try 2 hours (damn that seems low!) for a week and see what happens.

Probably whenever you need to be awake. However, I would be more interested in the sleeping aid. But, lucky, DMSI 3.0 will probably get some sort of sleep improvement.
Anyone remember where Shannon posted the info about the bell curve on how many loops were most likely to be ideal for users for v2.3?
