From "New Slaves"
My momma was raised in the era when
Clean water was only served to the fairer skin
Doing clothes you would have thought I had help
But they wasn't satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself
You see, there's broke n***a racism
That's that "Don't touch anything in the store"
And then there's rich n***a racism
That's that "Come in, please buy more
What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?
All you blacks want all the same things"
Used to only be [brothas] now everybody playing
Spending everything on Alexander Wang
New Slaves

You see there's leaders and there's followers
But I'd rather be a d*ck than a swallower

In the YEEZUS tour narrative, [Rule 4] descends from [Rule 4] to chastise him for his role in contributing to America's obsession with wealth. At that point, he takes off his mask and performs a number of songs about the guilt he feels about abandoning his ideals and values and promises to do better in the future.

In his latest album, "The Life of Pablo," which had the most AWESOME release ever (he released it as a "beta" and kept updating it on the fly via Spotify, iTunes and Tidal), we're given a glimpse into that attempt to do better, as he devotes his life now to his craft and artistry, which he talks about in the song FML:

I've been living without limits
As far as my business
I'm the only one that's in control
I been feeling all I've given
For my children
I will die for those I love
[Rule 4], I'm willing
To make this my mission
Give up the women
Before I lose half of what I own
I been thinking
About my vision
Pour out my feelings
Revealing the layers to my soul

True artistry is a reflection of your life and realizing that the journey is just as important as the end results. He says in many of his songs that he knows that he isn't where he wants to be in regards to purifying his spirit -- and who are we to judge, we're all on that same path.

P.S. -- Kanye was best friends with Kim way back when his first album, The College Dropout, came out. That was like, 17 years ago. Dude's been trying to get in since then and finally got it.

Instead of judging (which you were), try and shut off the critical mind and just listen to this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4flyJgyyHk

And tell me that sh*t ain't deep.

I said I was *trying* not to judge. Of course I was judging! But, I got a response that actually increased my respect for Kanye! Thanks. That's what I was hoping for.
I'm more into the complex lyrical artistry from a very subjective first person narrative. Tech N9ne is my favorite rapper by far.

lol, didn't even see that. One of the chicks going to concert with us has never even listened to him, so she asked us to make a "Definitive Kanye West" playlist, so I'm in full-on fan mode right now.

Thing is -- admittedly, he says some crazy things in public and it makes him an easy target. Sometimes he gets really really manic and says some egotistical things (I think he's an INTP). Still, there's so much gold in the music and artistry, but the media doesn't care. They want their page clicks and views, so they'll ignore ALL of that just to focus on the most negative.

Most people don't even know that he has such crazy creative concerts. In fact, there was a huge falling out between him and Jay-Z over the concert for "Watch the Throne" (their collaboration album) because Jay wanted a minimal concert with little effects, and Kanye wanted to go all out and do something creative and huge.

I really really wish he didn't do the Taylor Swift thing. It ended up getting his "Fame Kills" concert with Lady Gaga canceled. I'm not a Lady Gaga fan, but the concert concept was amazing. They were going to rework all of their songs so that they could perform the songs together. He was going to have an LCD on the wall measuring which artist was getting the most attention, which would dynamically change the songs as they fought for the better position.

Thing is, I like hip-hop but I wouldn't really call myself a hip-hop head. I love any music that moves me.

I had my "black man card" revoked at a party because we were all making "The Top Ten Best Well-Written Songs of All Time" playlists on Spotify and playing them. Here's mine:

1. Hook - Blues Traveler
2. Jigsaw Falling Into Place - Radiohead
3. Carnival - Natalie Merchant
4. Gold Dust Woman - Fleetwood Mac
5. All I Really Want - Alanis Morissette
6. Hell of a Life - Kanye West
7. Jeremy - Pearl Jam
8. Doo Wop (That Thing) - Lauryn Hill
9. Thriller - Michael Jackson
10. Stan - Eminem

Now of course, it's kind of a joke list as I don't think these are the BEST ever, but I REALLY love these songs for various reasons. My friends lost their sh*t because I didn't include Tupac and other classic rappers.

EDIT: That being said, "Hook" took number one because I'm down with any song that blatantly insults the listener without them even realizing it (listen closely to the first verse).
Thanks Chaos for dropping the knowledge! Yeah man I remember during the first Taylor Swift fiasco at the VMA's I felt like a man against the world because I was still rolling with Ye' and people were chomping at the bit. One chick I knew said it best: true artists are usually only revered when they die and I believe this might apply in some ways to Kanye.
Shannon, you told in your journal that some parts of the DMSI 2.2 script could lead to resistance. Does it affect the healing modules? I am asking because I want to try 2.3, but if I don't get results I would continue 2.2 which would continue the required healing.
Same here, love music in general. It's not about the genre, but I listen mostly to classic rock and old school heavy metal. The rappers I listen to has that same punch as metal, i.e Tech, Eminem, Slaughterhouse, 2pac, Mobb Deep, Pusha T, 50 (when he was good)

The problem with rap today is that it turned too commercial/pop. Most songs out there people won't even remember in a month. I like artists with charisma and flair. There are even these lame country singers trying to incorporate rap into their songs, sounds terrible. And then check out Yelawolf, he's pulling off different styles made into his own.

Different problem with rock. They just don't have those badasses out there anymore, only Ozzy left. RIP Lemmy, Dimebag.

That sort of activity is done at the subconscious level and kept there. Consciously, if that happens, it will either go unnoticed or be a gradual adjustment that is comfortably handled for the conscious mind by the subconscious.

Wisdom enhancement is for helping you outgrow and refuse to engage in activities that cause you emotional harm. To some degree, it helps in the healing process.

But can not growth sometimes require some risk of emotional harm? For example approaching and being rejected? Isn't the program then hindering you to outgrow those issues? just curious

If you are growing correctly, there is no harm. If you are coming from a place of healthy personal frame and point of view, rejection only serves as a piece of data to add to your algorithm from which you generate your next approach strategy, for example. The secret is that almost all damage done to you by others through "growth" and experience is not done to you by them, but done to you by you as an execution of a subconscious script that says, "When Person A does A, I must respond with self harm in manner B." But because this happens automatically and at the subconscious level, the conscious mind only perceives that Person A did A, and then they experience pain, shame, etc.

There is never risk of emotional harm from growth if you are doing it right, and coming from the right healthy frame, self awareness and mindset.

No, it was just a situation where there was a statement that had been missed for update between 2.1 and 2.2 on the goal phrasing. The result was that the instruction set was not always pointing at the same goal, and this created a situation in which the subconscious was attempting to do two contradictory things at once. This was missed for the same reason I would not have released the script at all during July had I not made the promise I made, and that would not have made it past me if I had not. In the future, under such circumstances, I will not be releasing anything while I am under that set of circumstances, promises or not.

EDIT: for this reason, it is not advisable to run 2.2 if you want the healing effects. Either run E2, or I will build 2.4 with healing enabled.
Speaking of healing, I was thinking of drug and alcohol use as coping mechanisms for GSF. I wonder if alcohol or drug use could be used as an anchor for future subliminals to target specific fears for high priority status, to be dealt with first, due to their significance?

I do not follow you on this. It is grammatically confusing, or I am somehow not all here... please disambiguate.
Hi Shannon!

I noticed the unexpected post about 2.3. Excellent news!

You were going to build it yesterday, but pushed it back to today.

How are things coming along with that? I'm staying up late to download it asap. Very exciting news.
Shannon said "This time we are going to try a very aggressive ASRB: 60 minutes of audio, 1 minute of silence. Let's see how you guys handle that."

Does this mean that DMSI 2.3 is now available?
Guys, although Shannon said he'll start to build it today, it doesn't mean he'll finish today. And he said there will be a few days of waiting time before he releases it to us. Stop waiting around for it, you guys haha. Go about your own day and stop thinking about it. It'll be out soon in a few days before you know it.
