Question about DMSI's Optimus Engine. How do you know that you are autopiloting? What is the best way to not get in your own way? Do you just " go with the flow " or analize the situation and what to do next?
In a nutshell how do you not get in your own way!
The definition of auto pilot is doing something without thinking about it. If you are thinking and analysing on a date, you are not on auto pilot.

You don't consciously know you are autopiloting while it's happening. The phenomenon happens when your subconscious takes over and guides your actions according to its knowledge of what needs to be done to achieve the goal.
You only ever know it happened looking back. Analyzing the situation requires the conscious mind and is the reverse of what you want, that focuses you through your conscious mind.
You stop getting in your way by...
Letting go of your fears of not having conscious control. (It is, afterall, your own subconscious guiding you, not the program. )
Stop trying to observe what the program is doing.
Set it and forget it.
And it's not the Optimus Engine doing the autopiloting.
I have a question about autopilot. Basically it's this: whenever I just act without thinking, I get bad results/reactions/everything. Whenever I consciously focus on what I';m doing, I get good results/reactions/everything. What's going on there? Is my subconscious faulty?
For Shannon / Ben...
I don't know if this is intentional but I've been seeing my journal entries suddenly disappear at random.
At first I thought others were just deleting their posts, but then i realized that some of my own posts were gone.
These were just discussions about BASE or upcoming subs, then *BAM*, gone.
If i have violated forum rules, I apologize, but in my mind these were 100% clean posts talking about subs.
I'm guessing / hoping this is just a technical error, but it's rather disheartening to pour my heart out into my journal posts sharing sub results just have the thing disappear without any indication of what went wrong.
As a note this has happened on my current BASE thread and my old previous run of BASE. I didn't think it would happen again, but it has, so I think it's important enough to mention.
Sarge, I think it is because self destructive programming inside you that causes you to sabotage yourself or autopilot to the wrong outcome. The routine you had, has brought you to your situation.
Whenever you consciously focus, you are breaking with your routine/pattern and you have the ability to achieve something different than normal.

Yeah I agree. Not everyone can "set it and forget it".

Strange, I don't usually delete posts unless they really have to be. If it's a rule violation i'll just edit it.
The only time posts are usually deleted is when an account is deleted for being a spammer or someone who was banned in the past, but that wouldn't effect your posts.
Not sure what to say, I haven't deleted any of your posts. Has this happened to anyone else?

If memory serves, you are not using DMSI, correct?
If that is correct, then you're not going to get program induced autopiloting. You'll have times where you naturally experience the same phenomenon, but if it leads to negative outcomes, then it's because the "autopilot" (your subconscious) is running faulty programming. I.e., erroneous beliefs are being expressed.
Now if you are running DMSI, and you're still having this problem, then you've got a situation in which your old beliefs are trying to dominate your incoming beliefs and express themselves instead. It will take time.
Your subconscious is not faulty, but what it believes to be true is. You just need to change that.

Everyone can "set it and forget it". It's just a matter of different circumstances requiring different things.

We avoid deleting posts and threads whenever possible, unless they are seriously problematic, and that is a very rare event. I would be interested in knowing if anyone else is experiencing this.

It's got to be a technical thing then. It's only problematic (in a small sense, really) because I never thought to save my posts prior to posting them. I'll probably backup my journal now, just to be safe.
