UMS has two things in it that may result in sleep issues. The first is it is calling for action, which is contrary to sleep. I have no trouble sleeping while I listen, but I notice that gf is trying to sleep less so she can be more productive and does this by waking up earlier. The solution is to not listen while you're trying to sleep if this is causing a challenge to falling asleep. Another option, which by the sounds of it would not be useful for you, is to listen to a silence track until you fall asleep and then have the program start playing.
The second thing is that UMS is calling for actions and choices and changes to yourself that can trigger a lot of subconscious fear responses. Even though there is FRM in the script, the fear is still going to have to be dealt with and processed if it gets high enough, which may make sleeping difficult - especially if you play it at night. I have heard of next to no sleeping issues, but I would be inclined to believe they could result from the levels of subconscious fear I have been dealing with using this program, which I am sure others also have in some cases.
I'm personally seeing signs in two different directions (resistance and bodily responses) that UMS v2, and especially Stage 4, is causing some deep part of my subconscious to face and work through one or more phobia level fears it has apparently associated with becoming and being wealthy. This hasn't directly caused me sleep issues, but that part of me has attempted at one point to use sleep denial tactics (scorched earth type resistance) to get me to stop using the program. I recognized what it was trying to do and stubbornly refused to stop using the program; it failed, and stopped trying to use that tactic when it realized that it's efforts in that direction would not work.
I have an extremely high level of subconscious resistance to UMS v2. That is actually a very good thing, because it means the program is doing its job, digging out the entrenched parts of me that typically sabotage my efforts to become wealthy and have not been sufficiently affected by previous efforts so far. That means this program is finally doing all the right things and doing them deeply and powerfully enough to break through the fears and resistance that hold people back, even when they are as resistant and strong willed as I am. Usually I don't resist my own subliminals at all, but in this case, I am apparently fighting it as hard as I can at some level, and to my great pleasure, that part of me is
losing the battle. All I have to do is keep using the program as the models have directed me to.
This program would not be triggering this level of fear and resistance if it was not doing it's job, which is basically to dig out and remove all the reasons why we don't let ourselves become wealthy. The levels of fear this can potentially generate are huge, but even though I am having to deal with all this, I don't feel fear at the conscious level, which means the FRM is also doing its job.
If fear is why you can't sleep, then you'll have to decide what to do; keep going until you work through that particular response, or find some other way to get enough sleep, or if your life does not allow those things, make some other type of change.

Alpha isn't really all that useful for falling asleep. You want Theta or Delta, or alpha that leads to Theta and then Delta. Brainwave entrainment can be used with my subliminals, but it has to be done the right way; using it to fall asleep and then playing the subliminal is okay because the brainwave state while you sleep is not as important for achieving the program goals as the effects of the state shifting are for while you are awake. So helping you fall sleep is alright. But you want to play the program after you have fallen asleep if you're going to use it at night.
There is a lot of stuff in the skeleton script and key script that has use for helping people fall asleep when using the programs. The fact is, there are three specific goals a subliminal can have that will tend to trigger the most subconscious fear of literal death resulting from achieving those goals. They are sex, wealth and success. While we know that logically, becoming wealthy is either not a threat to your life or it can be dealt with by not being stupid about being wealthy, your subconscious only knows that it has imagined that the achievement of wealth, sex, success will result in you literally being killed.
One of the things that result when you try to clear out a fear is that it triggers the fear. So far nothing I have tried (and I have tried a lot of different things!) seems to prevent that from happening. And when you are dealing with an irrational part of yourself that has a limited level of understanding and only knows that it genuinely believes that achieving the goal = getting killed (imagine a child being afraid a monster will eat it if it looks under the bed at night, and you have a good idea what we are dealing with here) you're going to see a lot of fear resulting.
I remember laying awake at night as a little boy, hiding under my covers because I was terrified of what was in the dark, waiting to get me. Didn't matter that I had never seen these monsters I was afraid of. Didn't matter that nobody I knew ever saw one, or "got gotten" by them. Didn't matter that whenever I would pull out a flash light or turn on the lights, there was nothing there. I was at that age terrified of them anyway. It was basically a case of some part of me genuinely believing that getting up out of bed to turn on the lights would actually result in me getting killed by monsters under my bed who would catch and eat me.
I don't know what that little boy inside me who believes that achieving wealth thinks will make that outcome kill me, but he apparently does for some reason. If that is true for you as well, then even the solution may cause the problem. The solution is to dig out the fears and remove them; but that seems to trigger them. Fear seems perfectly designed to be self preserving, which is why it's taken me 5 years of work to make a FRM that works. But it's not perfect yet, and while it is achieving its goal, if there is enough fear to be dealt with, it may trigger some fear based responses. In this case, the solution your fearful side wants you to choose is, "Stop using the program!" But the way past those faulty beliefs that result in the fear is just the opposite. Otherwise, your fear will not be removed, and it will keep preventing you from achieving the goals the program had. Forever.
So if the issue is fear, then we have a challenge because the solution causes the problem while it is solving the problem, because the problem is that some part of you believes it will literally die if it executes and achieves the goals of the program. But the fearful parts cannot be freed of their fears unless you use the program, and the process of removing the fears triggers the fear of death because it also believes that it is the fear that holds you back that is keeping you safe and alive. If the fear is intense enough, the process will be somewhat uncomfortable in some way given the current level of power and technology in FRM (v5.0). The good news is, the FRM works so well that you only experience very minor effects at the conscious level.
