I'm just curious, I have no issue with buying the next one. ?

I was gonna say 2011, 2012, but the wayback machine seems to contradict that.
Since I was saving each and every version of *.zip files on my Linux box, 2012 turned out to be a different one in 4G called Develop an Aura of Sexiness 2.0:

Code:
2012-08-02 10:48:56 .....    71924292    60218351  Develop_An_Aura_of_Sexiness_2-0_4G/Develop_An_Aura_Of_Sexiness_2-0_4G_(Ocean_Surf).mp3

Then you posted this on another thread by the end of May 2016:

That's exactly the same date for v1:

Code:
2016-05-30 11:59:10 .....    448499775    448555752  Develop_An_Aura_Of_Sexual_Irresistibility_5_5G_Masked_Subliminal_(Ocean_Surf).flac

And then v2.5 should be the final release of v2:

Code:
2016-10-13 10:17:42 .....    579376737    579455726  DMSI-V2_5-Masked_Subliminal_(Ocean_Surf).flac

Hybrid tracks were available afterwards, then the very first release of v3 should be uploaded at the end of November / beginning of December:

FYI - my time zone is UTC as shown below:
Code:
$ cat /etc/timezone
UTC
It wouldn't take long to work on the product description etc. back then, therefore the date of each archived page should be close enough when we're checking Wayback Machine then?

If there were no further changes down the road, that could tell us a little bit more about how to estimate the "cut-off" date.

(Yesterday, 03:16 PM)Have at ye Wrote: [ -> ]Very interesting news about DMSI v5. Really amazed us old-timers who got on the train early are going to get it for free, I wasn't expecting that.

I am following what the models advised me to do, which coincides relatively well with what the polls suggested as well.

Quote:One question though - is it going to be shield-compatible? My experiences on X4A would indicate for me it'd be necessary, as I'm getting tremendous amounts of hostility or even outright aggression on it, so DRS v2 is a lifesaver.

You should be able to use a shield with it, but given the complexity, etc. I will have to model whether maybe it should be included in this case, or if not, whether there will be special instructions or restrictions.  Good question.

Hello again, @Shannon!

I'm surprised by the news of DMSI on the horizon. I thought it'd be a way off in the future. Then again, maybe I'm just used to this long road we've been on with 6G development etc., huh?

It's going to take some getting used to...that maybe indeed the "future", is now, at long last, the "present"...

That said, two quick things:

1. Can we get confirmation that the key script improvement for yours and I's "Abyss" if you will, have been, or will be implemented for subs going forward? Including DMSI? I say this because I don't want anyone going through that deep, dark, hellish death camp experience you and I did...it was...enough...but also for selfish reasons because I'd rather have an easier time going forward, hahaha....

2. If ever there was a sub that needed a solid DRSV2(3?), it's DMSI V5! That sub would no doubt create a lot of attention, not all positive, especially from "haters". I think anecdotally, as I haven't used a DRS for a long time, but it seems to have an effect even through me if that helps...and for one specific person which is very helpful to me.

I understand we only have so much "horsepower" to deal with, and DMSI already will need so much. Never mind whatever version number of FRM is installed which needs it's own resources to process things. Overall, I know energy is finite. Just saying a full DRS should be at least strongly considered because if the program can finally stretch it's legs the way we have wanted it to...it'll be deeply necessary...unfortunately.

I would love a fully powered DMSI ideally to really see what it can do, but I see the value in DRS for this sub. That's a real tough one to call.

Fantastic progress, Shannon. It's true, you can't please everyone.

Maybe try this. Keep your policy as is for now. If some of us "early adopters" start to do well with it, and you feel charitable, open the free update up to the other versions as you see fit. Maybe a reduced price, otherwise.

Truthfully, one of your reasons for the creation of the program, was to mine data for the creation of 6G. Stands to reason a person who bought in at V2, or even like myself at V1...their data would be far more plentiful to help you develop over the years than someone who jumped on at the end of the line. At least with the early adopters you got more feedback and data to improve things, so the trade off was much more balanced and fair for you. So I see your hesitation on opening it up to free for every version ever.

If you end up needing some more data from testers to decide if the program works and if a premium down the road is prudent, maybe THEN considering opening it up version by version to get more data. Maybe a reduced price for it, and go one version at a time if you want to minimise potential losses.

Truthfully though, if a couple of us "hard cases" start crushing it...I think that's really all the data you'll need, haha...we'll see what happens! Wink

EPHRA is the next program, apparently? Well done Shannon, great choice. Logical with OGSF already made. That program will help a lot of people. I've had good experience with earlier versions in the past. Three of them at least I've ran, one inside AM6. Great stuff.

P.S. For Frankie, and for Shannon...I downloaded the ORIGINAL sales page for DAOSI back then when it came out...lmao...going to be in a museum someday! Epic.
I second Catman's suggestion that DRS should be included if possible in the new version of DMSI since I can see this program needing it.
Hopefully the Models you run reflect the same @Shannon
