Wife came home from work and told me that her coworker (the sexy one I've mentioned who goes to my gym) asked her where I've been, that she hasn't seen me at the gym lately (I've been sick w/ a stupid sinus infection).
Went to see Arrival today. Amazing movie. I can see why it was nominated for Best Picture. Totally cried near the end, and again in the car. It was moving, man, especially being a parent. I haven't seen a movie that moved me like that in a LONG time. Chaos, if you'd like to see about your ability to have a man-cry, check it out. You're a dad, it's sci-fi, it's great in so many ways...See it, man.

Sat in the theater for a good 15 minutes afterward and just... thought.

WTF just happened? Seriously?
My workout buddy asked me to go out for drinks. I said, "Ok," reluctantly. We went to a local Mexican restaurant in a pretty prominent area, but this place has been around for awhile.
We show up and walk into the bar area...We naturally stop walking where there's a break in the bar seating - and there's a muscular blonde chick with an empty seat next to her.
She strikes up conversation with us while we're waiting to order margaritas. She even introduces herself. After we order house drinks, she changes our order for a special margarita - "fresh squeezed., hope y'all don't mind? It's really good!"
No, not at all, if they're better. So I ask if it's her favorite post-workout drink - she looks like she just got done working out. She shit tests me, "Why, do I smell like I just worked out?!" Well, yeah. And you look like you work out a lot, too. I'm a trainer, I can tell. She says, "Yes," of course (about the margarita), and elaborates that she is a trainer who works out at a local crossfit and the open chair is for a friend.
Friend shows, and she's blonde and hot. Older, but hot. Turns out she's an NP - nurse practitioner, just like my wife. We sit down next to them, and next thing I know NP is asking us how often we (as guys) like to have sex. Seriously. I say, "Everyday." My buddy says multiple times per week. NP says to Ms. Crossfit, "See!? Once or twice per year is NOT NORMAL!" I'm like, "WHAT!?"
So CF girl says she walks around naked and doesn't know what's wrong her husband. "I mean, am I hideous!?" "No, no, you're definitely not hideous." I ask about her energy level in bed, etc. - sounds like her man is either gay or has zero libido. He's 45, she's 31. He runs a lot. He probably has some kind of issue, but regardless, the situation I'm in is I'm with two hot women. One's undersexed, has sex on her mind like a dude, and the other is beautiful, smart, makes14k/mo and is going through a divorce with a neurosurgeon. They know each other b/c they workout together.
How perfect is this!?
My buddy has to leave. I stay. I say to them, "Just so you ladies know, I don't make friends with girls. (They look at me quizzically) Well, it always eventually leads to sex." What?
NP says to me, "I bet your wife is cute. I say that b/c you're cute." I thank her, and then proceed to confirm her suspicions with photo evidence. She calls her, "a babe." Anyway...she then shows me her fitness photos. She doesn't want me to think it's weird, b/c she's "in her underwear." I assure her it's not weird, and that I'm impressed, b/c...I was.
At the end of the night, I left with them sending me Facebook invites...we'll all be seeing each other again. Then they insisted on hugging me goodbye.
