HOWL works by adjusting hormone levels and ratios. It is the effects of the hormones that affects the changes, so your hunger may drop, food choices may change, choice of when to eat and how much. I have seen some of this in testing, but feedback has been relatively scarce so I don't know how universal that is.
Anything that is based on hormone adjustment will of course only produce the results that hormones alone can produce.
