Hmm...well this is new, I thought you were supposed to finish MIR, then finally prioritise FRM/DMSI?? This is disappointing, and will probably set DMSI's release back by months in reality...But then you say at the end of the post that after MIR, FRM will be your major focus until it's done.
I guess I don't understand why if you don't know if the "luck" sub needs FRM, why it can't wait until after you've finished FRM 4.9 and DMSI like planned, because we all know DMSI needs FRM? Seems like that just drags out FRM and DMSI's releases, both have which have been needed for a long time.
Hope all is going well for you down there. Crazy how there's talk of Florida opening now, seems way too early. Hospitals and supplies won't be able to handle the burden of so many new cases yet.
EDIT: I think we posted close together time-wise, with you just after. Then a new page started, so it's likely you didn't see the post. Hate when that happens, lol. So I posted this again on the fresh page.
I seem to recall saying that I was going to be building USLM first before DMSI. I seriously doubt that it will set DMSI back months, because the design I have in mind should not require very long for me to work on for USLM 4.2. I believe I have found the reason 4.0/4.1 don't work as well as they should be, and I need to make that correction. I think it will most likely take me 3 to 7 days to build.
FRM is not being dragged out, it's being figured out. It's a problem I find exceedingly challenging to work on. It takes a lot of time when you have tried everything you can think of and it isn't performing as well as it, by all rights, should. I spare no expense in building each of these FRM versions. Everything I can do and come up with goes into them, and eventually you're left with... well hell, what now?
FRM is going to be my major focus after MIR. I still work round robin. Since finishing the prototype of the secret program, I have been working full tilt on MIR only, and I am reminded every day just why I work round robin. MIR v3 has the potential to be so important that I have been pushing myself to finish it, and working on it and only it. It's taking it's tol on me in many ways to do that. These will get done.
As for Florida re-opening... I think a lot of people in the United States have no damned clue what this thing is or how dangerous it is. Nobody here in my area seems to be taking it seriously. We are on state and city "lockdown" but 80% of the traffic is still there and 80% of the stores are still open. Maybe 5% wear masks in public, 3% wear gloves and less than 1% wear both. I think that we are going to be dealing with this thing for a long time because we in the US aren't willing to take it seriously and do what it takes to extinguish it. We were really caught with our pants down, and don't seem to really care about pulling them back up again. I mean, seriously, protesters because they're supposed to stay home? I have heard a lot of people say, "Well of they're not taking it seriously, I won't either." I have to shake my head at all of this. Just this afternoon I drove past the beaches and they were all closed. But on the other side of the road, there were all the same people doing all the same things in the river...
Second wave may not happen because the first one never finishes. But hey, what do I know?
I think COVID-19 is serious but not as severe as SARS or MERS. I think there are a lot more people that are asymptomatic than we realize. The risk of severe complication seems to in people who have comorbid conditions such as being overweight or smokers.
I wear a mask but no gloves when I go out since virus isn’t absorbed through your skin. I just wash your hands and avoid touching my face.
That's the problem. People aren't getting the facts. They're confused. For example... COVID-19 refers to COrona VIrus Disease '19, which is the disease caused by the virus we are dealing with. That virus is SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2 is much more infectious than SARS-COV-1 was (the SARS you are talking about). If memory serves, it also has a higher mortality rate than SARS-COV-1 or MERS-whatever the rest of its name is. SARS-COV-2 is significantly MORE serious and dangerous than SARS or MERS, because it is asymptomatic for so much longer long, because it is so much more contagious, because it can survive things the other two can't (from what I'm hearing, ultraviolet radiation doesn't kill it, apparently, and it can survive on some surfaces as much as 2-3 days), because it can be spread up to 13 feet from an infected person (this was reported, but nobody paid attention and everyone has 6 feet melted into their brains), because people aren't taking it seriously, and they're not taking it seriously because there seems to be a concerted disinformation campaign going on in the world and local media, because the virus is unlike anything we have ever seen before and we don't know much about it yet, because our testing system isn't on point yet, and for several other reasons.
A typical mask doesn't do much, but it helps. Gloves help. Social distancing helps. None of it is the answer, except for quarantining and reverse quarantining (isolating yourself to prevent exposure so you don't get it), which people don't seem to be able or willing to do in the United States.
I mean, I have been staying home to the point that yesterday my girlfriend told me she needs to get out of the house because it's making her depressed now... we ended up taking a walk and accidentally discovering a rock hounding spot where we found some really beautiful dogtooth calcite crystals. It was a very nice change of pace, but even at this remote location, we encountered other people in the same boat. But you have to go grocery shipping unless you can get it all delivered, and even then, is it on your groceries? Unless you have a year of supplies stored beforehand, how are you really going to isolate enough to really prevent it completely?
