I'll do my best to get the money for LTU6 so I can heal as fast as possible and get going with earning some cash. I would love to be able to switch to UMS right away, but 1) it needs 2 weeks break and 2) I'm doing some really big improvements on my emotional health with LTU5 right now and don't want to ruin that in any way after having gone through a 4 year depression. But I look forward embarking on a money-making-journey with UMS with all the benefits that LTU is going to bring.

You forgot #3: LTU6 doesn't exist yet.

Don't worry about LTU6 if LTU5 is working and you need what it's doing.

I have a Canon 24-70 L camera lens, and they came out with the Mark II (which cost about 10% more last I checked).  Did I upgrade?  No, the old one does the job just fine, thanks.  But you know what?  I paid $1,350.00 for that lens in 2008 I think is when I bought it, and they charged that much because:

1. The value justifies the price.  A professional photographer can make a lot more money than that by using it.
2. The lens is designed to last a lifetime.  Upgrades are available later on, but you don't necessarily need to upgrade.

What I am aiming to create is like that.  It's the most expensive because it's the best; the value justifies the price; because it does the job very well, and because you can get a lifetime of service from it without necessarily having to upgrade even if you have that option available.

Don't worry about the price of a non-existent LTU6 when you have the still excellent LTU5 and it's working well for you!

You are totally right, thanks.  I’m just sensitive to your “lightyears better performance” comments.

Btw I love canons stuff. I have a 30D which is almost 10 years old and my favorite optics is a 17-55 IS USM. Just wonderful.

When I first read about LTU 6,I also found it a bit difficult to believe that a sub could be that much improved since 24 February. However, all the subs I’ve ever purchased and used have been outstanding, so I trusted Shannon.

However, after skimming through some of the UMS comments, it seems as if the level of quality of the subs have taken a huge leap, so I’m even more convinced now that LTU 6 is going to be amazing.

That said, I understand the argument that purchasers of LTU 5 should get the sub at a lower price compared to new LTU purchasers (whatever the price ends up being), since LTU 6 will be based on the existing LTU 5 script and LTU 5 users have already put money into the existing script. However, I can also understand the argument about this being an entirely new program, and with the quality of the subs and the quality of answers we receive on this forum, I’m pretty much just going to pay the price that Shannon ends up setting (unless I find it completely unreasonable).
