It seems that you do have some time to play the silent tracks on your phone, either while studying, watching shows, or sleeping. Samsung phones play ultrasonic. Do it on mono, it's better than nothing. That's how the creator of these subs listens to them. He must know a thing or two 
Or get these headphones. You should be able to afford them. It's the cost of two sandwiches... And they play ultrasonic.
I think you're making it way too complicated, unless I'm misunderstanding your situation. But I think you should be able to find 2 quiet hours a day. If not, I guess just wait till you get back to your original setup.
