That moment when you tell people that the Federal Reserve -- the entity charged with regulating the currency of the United States -- isn't a governmental entity, is privately owned, and Congress has little oversight over it.

Their heads explode. Then they go on as if they didn't hear that private billionaires OWN the banks that the lend the US government money.

I always recommend ""The Creature from Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin. It reads better than most murder mysteries.
