Revenues from existing places that legalised MJ are decent but unfortunately a drop in the ocean as a whole for the government. There's enough to write a big cheque for (insert a political cause) though.

It is hard to actually want to get out of debt because it's always better to have the money in your pocket. Democrats want to increase spending, Republicans want to cut taxes, both of which does not help. I suspect having the financial discipline to impose a serious debt-reduction plan, which means significant tax increases for Democrats and significant cuts to public spending for Republicans, would simply enrage people as money is taken out of their pockets, one way or another, and the party in power gets the boot. Also, given how much money is currently owned it would take generations to clear it up.
But back to the point, I am excited to run 2.3 and early signs definitely show it to be better than 2.2 for me.
