I think you're beginning to understand a fundamental truth about reality. The fact is, much of what we perceive is perceived in reverse of how it actually is.
I this case, it really isn't you, but the other person's perception of you. The "it" factor is what triggers the desired reaction from the person, which depends entirely on their perception.
This is something I've noticed as well. Does this mean we should actually care what other people think of us? And does DMSI help us reach a wider veriety of people?
You should remember that by trying to adjust yourself to suit others, you skew your "frequency". This causes you to "be in tune" with people you are not really in tune with, and attract them. This takes energy and eventually always fails. To maintain this, it requires more and more effort and energy, which eventually makes you miserable or causes you to become exhausted. In either case, you're not being true to yourself.
"Being what you are" and doing so unapologetically, you automatically and naturally attune yourself to the frequency that attracts those people who are exactly right for you. This is a big part of why it is so important to be honest.

Believe me, the sniper works otherwise. You're just not very experienced yet. This will change as you gain experience. Self Auto-Training Technology to the rescue!
