I just remembered that I had a terrible dream last night about my house falling apart. Considering the symbolism,  I think that's pretty significant. In spite of that, i feel good today.

I can't wait to start Stage 2, starting next month. As soon as stage 1 started, I started lifting weights and walking. I gave up running so I could get in better shape.

I can't wait to start Stage 2, starting next month. As soon as stage 1 started, I started lifting weights and walking. I gave up running so I could get in better shape.

Lifting and diet are going to be your best friends as far as body composition goes. Assuming you aren't chemically altered and you want to make sure you're being the most from your lifting, look into progressive overload routines with plenty of recovery time.  Beyond Brawn by Stuart McRobert is a good resource for that.  It's long-winded, but the author really drives his point home. 

Walking or jogging, particularly according to the Maffetone (or similar) formula, have lots of health benefits but don't expect much in the way of body composition.

Stage 3 - Day 3

Libido is increasing. I woke up with a stiffy. When my wife woke up we engaged in some brown chicken brown cow. That was about an hour ago. Now I'm thinking about round two.

Stage 3 definitely feels different than stage 2. It's brighter. That's the best word I have for it right now. Stage 2 felt heavier. With stage 3, I feel an underlying excitement like I'm eager to see what the day might bring.

Thanks, Nomad! Yeah, I use macro factor workouts to track my reps in reserve for progressive overload! I will check out the resources you recommended!

Syage 3 - Day 8

I've experienced fatigue over that past week. I was in a complete daze on day toward the beginning of the week and that lessened as the week progressed. I've maintained my fitness routine but I've had to increase my calories to meet the energy demands of Stage 3.

In my last post, I said stage 3 feels brighter. For now, that's no longer the case.

I'm looking forward to sleeping in this weekend.

I have very little interest in my work. I'm very disconnected from it to the point that it's almost robotic. I'm still functioning successfully, but there's very little emotional investment. The good news is that it has freed up mental and emotional bandwidth for other areas of my life.

That daze effect is actually a very good sign. It's a signal that a lot of change is happening very quickly under the hood. It should not last longer than a few days to about a week.
