DMSI is going to have to wait a little bit. I have a lot on my plate to handle right out of the gate, and working on AM v7 in the background means I can't take on extremely complex projects until that's published.
X4A-1600 will not be an issue. I could probably publish X4A-1600 sometime soon.
Hello Shannon, long time!
Had an issue recently with my login, Ben fixed things so I'm back.
First, a very hearty congratulations for 6G. I thought you were still stress-testing and improving the Beta. I didn't realise somehow you were completing Final recently. Wow. Quite a shock to see the development of that at this time, to be honest.
I hope you treated yourself to a michelin star worthy ribeye, Shannon!{/quote]
Thank you. I have to find a source of such ribeyes, first. I actually bought myself a smoker to make one of my celebrations a smoked ribettye, but the smoker turns out to be Chinese made and so far I haven't been able to use it because of a persistent toxic chemical smell coming from it when I try to use it.
We did testing a little differently than you might imagine. Testing was done starting significantly before testing was announced. So when I announced 6G-Alpha there had already been some testing done. 6G Beta had a week of testing before announcement, IIRC. And I was able to find everything I was looking for in 6G-Beta testing quickly because I had determined enough information in 6G-Alpha testing to tell me where to look. So 6G Beta testing was effectively finished in much less time than I had expected because of the organization of and approach to the testing protocol. Much better than spending three more months testing.
Quote:That said, I would love a DMSI in 6G as an instabuy for myself and many others would agree. But I understand you wanting AM7 ticking along, that will be good news to many, I'm sure. I'm surprised it would be such an involved program to create compared to others. There indeed must be a lot more involved in that program, which is intriguing.
DMSI-Next is in alpha build. That is to say, I am in the process of working out the specifics regarding the variables of how to build it. It is going to require a lot of time to build, which I cannot devote to it while I am working on AMv7. I can't do both.
Quote:I am anxiously awaiting X4A-1600, as a compromise. Building that in February would be a dream come true. We can finally see what that program can do, once and for all!
X4A-1600 is going to be built sometimes after OGSF is built.
Quote:Having OSC as an internal focus sub, and X4A as an external focus sub, would be a nice way to build out the range. Allow variety in products. Plus, we know X4A will sell like mad, most likely. On that subject, I am surprised by the price for the range, very solid pricing.
If the results are presumably there in 6G now, then this will really remove any reasonable pricing objection and will allow the products to be accessible to the majority.
I honestly can't wait to try 6G in X4A-1600 (which will almost certainly be my first experience with it) and see what it can do. The DRS page seems interesting in how it functions.
Congratulations, Shannon. We've waited so long for this. The light at the end of the tunnel is here. Here's to the next chapter of our lives.
Here here.
