I think I may have been a bit too ambitious in my interviews, I asked for a bit more than I was advised to go for and I haven't heard a response from them since. I think they may have liked me initially judging by how fast they responded.
Other than that I may have landed upon another opportunity. I think this one a much better match for my skills and if I'm correct the pay is actually higher than the previous opportunity. I still have to clarify that point.
The location isn't the greatest but I think it's a really good opportunity for me. A colleague was offered the position but turned it down, and I'm much more qualified than they are for position. I hope I don't jinx it but I'm pretty confident I can land the job.
I'm pretty upset with my current employer though, we all thought there was no budget in our department for raises, but this colleague told our supervisor he was leaving for a new opportunity and they gave him a $13000 raise, which is absolutely amazing for him. But its extremely unfair to the rest of the team. He literll got a 25% increase in salary, and I'm much more knowledgeable than he is.
I'm happy for my coworker, but the employer is so unfair. They said raises are going around but I doubt they're handing out $13k raises to everyone. If they do I'm expecting between 2-5 for whenever they get around to doing it.
Wish me luck UMS family
