I do eat a lot of legumes (beans, peas, lentils, etc.), cheese, meats, and vegetables. I have an extravagant cheat day one day per week, and then I take it easy the next day.
Does this diet consider the presence of Candida in the gut?
What do you mean by 'consider'? It's made for weight loss, and so I use it to maintain my current weight. It doesn't detail that it helps or hinders with Candida.
I know that I probably do have candida.
If you know that you probably have Candida, and you're also familiar with what Candida does, especially as it relates to general energy levels(which affect the entirety of your life), I feel like it might be wise to consider tackling that issue first, rather than weight, which unless it is a health concern is generally superficial. There's a book i've read called "The Probiotic Diet" that i'd recommend, which would be helpful to that end.
