I'm less informed about f-eft, but I did watch that Robert Smith's playlist, read those pdfs Geodude linked and something more. I understand the effects and usage of it are similar to those of Sedona. I watched a Sedona video series, where they instruct to also let go of the positive emotions so you're not attached to them either and they can come and go naturally. It all pretty much makes sense to me. But I wouldn't redily equate pstec with f-eft and sedona in how they work and what's best, at least without really thinking it through. Tim does say in some of his audios that many mistakes are made when people assume pstec works like other methods, such as eft. To me, pstec is holding a thought/memory + feeling association in mind and then breaking it with pattern interrupts and hypnotic suggestions. If you want to know what the suggestions do, I suspect a good way would be to just listen to the words on the click track carefully. I don't see any other reason it wouldn't attempt to "delete" good associations as well, except that he does, at least usually, say "negative emotions". Maybe always, idk? Do you have to be 100% sure and congruent that its a negative emotion? There's some slight guesswork there, I think.
I did run the click tracks on porn 1 or 2 times while on AM6, but I focused on the quilty and shamefull feelings and not on the sex itself. I imagined (*cough* remembered *cough*) sneaking away to my computer in the middle of the night from the bed me & my GF were sleeping in, being wary of getting caught and events like that. Or some of the disgusted feelings I had about gaping, suffocating and such that they do on the videos.
From the book:
So all in all... Of course he has to be careful for legal reasons, but if you want to do releasing on positive emotions, I would personally do it with f-eft, sedona and/or similar methods just to be safe. But that's just me. As I said earlier, I will be running the pstec tracks on any constricting/weak/anxious feelings of "I MUST have this" aspects of attachment if those come up, but I will not be click tracking the good or empowering feelings for now. And likely not depression either, since athanas' comments.
Quote: "When I created pstec, I did with one purpose in mind: I simply wanted a tool that could be used to detach emotions from events. ... In other words, pstec is simply designed to be a neutralizer of feelings attached to events."

From the book:
Quote:SEXUAL JEALOUSY
Jealousy is bad mkay ....... Some people make the mistake of vividly imagining their partner having graphic sex and then Click Tracking that. It's not the best approach in this instance. Firstly there is no benefit to be had by doing that or by making it sexually graphic. Also, when you do use the Click Track to deal with the jealousy aspect, you don't want to inadvertently hit any of your own excitement connected to the sexual act itself. This is because you also don't want to reduce any of your own desire for your partner. If you inadvertently did that then you'd subsequently have to work on your beliefs related to desire in order to rebuild it.
INCOMPATIBLE LIBIDOS
... Sex drive should not be Click Tracked unless dealing with something such as Nymphomania or a full blown sex addiction. If you simply want to be more compatible in terms of libido with your partner and the difference is not vast, sex drive can be safely lowered by using PSTEC Positive to directly suggest it.
NYMPHOMANIA AND SEX ADDICTION
... In order to lower your feelings towards sex, you would imagine the biggest and most inappropriate “turn on” and use a PSTEC Click Track on it. As you do this you will need to try to feel excited throughout. Before doing this be sure that you understand how to use the Click Track and test it on something completely different first. Only use it in the manner just described after you are absolutely sure you are using it correctly and that it works for you.
Whenever Click Tracking sexual excitement you should be prepared to stop the track part way in order to check your level of feeling. This is because you want to lower it, but not completely of course. When using Click Tracks in this way, try ONLY to imagine sexual encounters with strangers and also in the kinds of locations where things have happened before that you would want to avoid in future. If there are any such events in your past about which you feel particularly ashamed, which were dangerous, very stupid or downright nasty then they make ideal candidates for this procedure. Be sure to recall that event and TRY hard to feel ONLY excitement as you use the PSTEC Click Track on it. Doing this should interrupt your addiction significantly. Whatever the result, wait a few days and monitor the effect. You can repeat this if necessary.
The following is unlikely but I include this just for the sake of completeness: If having done this you find it has inadvertently lowered your libido to a level which seems too low then be aware that you can reset it to a higher level by using PSTEC Positive. If however you have been prone to sex addiction you would be well advised to wait a few weeks before doing this. This is because your libido is likely to naturally elevate to a more normal level in that time.
