Finally, the way 5.11G subs are built, the key script proper is what makes the sub achieve it's primary goals, and the skeleton script is what enables the key script proper to do so.  This modularity means that the key script does not incorporate a shield.  Currently, the shield is built into the skeleton script, and that is why it's such a bear to change it over; I didn't think we would need to change the shield again before 6G, so it didn't matter how difficult that would be when I set this up.

You all like DRS, and I understand why; 
but for some subs, DRS is not the better choice, and this one is likely one of them.

@Shannon When you have time.
Make a "Grounding Shield" skeleton script
and a "Directional Reflection Shield" skeleton script

Then and only then, 
you can select the better choice for the experience you are currently working on.

Easier said than done, my friend.  If it was just a matter of creaing one of each, I'd have done that already.  But...

1. The skeleton script isn't what we're using.  The skeleton script has to be processed into a special form, which takes 3+ days to process.  It is that special processed form of the skeleton script that we use.  If nothing changes, then I can simply process it once and then use it again and again whenever the key script is ready.  If I have to make changes, they have to be made to the skeleton script, and then I have to spend 3+ days creating the new static processed script.  Theoretically I could do that for both, but there is a better way, which I would have used the first time if I had known you guys would want to use DRS again instead of GS, which is...
2. If I rebuild the static skeleton script files without a shield, then I can choose during build to have no shield, or weave in any shield I like whenever I build it.  The same amount of time must be applied to do this as to build a version with the DRS installed, but this way I can use no shield or any future shield.

So... after I get EHPRA v6 built.... I will make this adjustment and then rebuild the skeleton script static files (which is deadly boring and tedious work, and I hate you all for making be do it again - just kidding) without any shield.

In future builds, I will have the freedom to have no shield, DRS, GS or add in something exotic like the Black Hole Shield, which I haven't developed yet.
