I have never had trouble with achieving erection unless I was emotionally off kilter. I attach a great deal of emotional value to sex, so when I am deeply hurting, very upset, angry, frustrated, depressed, or feeling very emotionally guarded, I simply have no sex drive. That of course means no erection. Perhaps there's something along those lines you might find has something to do with it.
