Video posts become problematic because they tend to require more time, and that makes moderating them more difficult. They also require a lot more space, as you say, and this is a forum, not YouTube. We don't have an issue with video posts, as long as you abide by the rules of the forum within them, but you should keep them as short as possible. In general, unless you have some reason why you need to use a video post as opposed to text, you should prefer text. Video posts are useful for expressing emotion better, demonstrating things, and sharing things which are better expressed through visual or action oriented media.
