I don't believe that you can have something that will give you zero discomfort when making big changes. Big changes are uncomfortable, they can bring up fear and other stuff and it's never going to be fully smooth. But it is definately worth it.

I agree with you here Ben. AM is a classic example if I had had it easy during AM I would have lost my job instead of getting a raise, I would have put on weight instead of losing it, I would have ended up not going out and socializing instead of trying new things and making a few new friends.
It was that push that got me there. Now some of that stuff seems easy but it wouldn't have become easy without going through the very uncomfortable parts that pushed me there.
While I think some things can be made easy, some things just have to be hard to get through because that's the only way to push through and see some real changes
