I have not run subliminals for several years, but I've had experience with E1, E2, UMS, OFv2 and OFv3. It's been crazy to read through the forum the past couple of days and to remember all the terminology and see how far the subliminals have come.
What actually triggered me to use subliminals again happened a couple of weeks ago when I was looking through an external HDD, and I came across backups of the previously purchased subliminals. I read through the description files I'd saved and thought, yep, I'm going to give UMS (5.75) another run. I know it's older technology and that's why I used this quieter journal section of the forum, as this may not be as interesting for people to read due to the age of the subliminal program.
In the UMS description I read about making goals, although I did not initially do this, instead, I ran 2 loops for 3 days in a row and now I'm taking a 5 day break as per the instructions. If I'm being honest, UMS hit me hard. I slept like crap, had wild dreams, and I felt rattled during the day. It had me wondering if this was worth it. Now I'm on the first day off from listening, and things have really started to click. I came up with some goals, the major one being an understanding that I need to track my finances closely and see what's going on. I turn a blind eye to the budget because I have savings as backup, but I am quite certain the budget is deep in the red, and my main goal is to turn that around.
I'm turning 45 this year, so no spring chicken, and I'm married with 3 kids. I have a mortgage but otherwise no debt. I have two cars and a trailer, so between the kids, my belongings and the general costs of living, my expenses are greater than my current income. This is the shift that UMS created already after only 3 listening days, it forced me to face reality. It's one of the things I was resisting and it likely created the shattered feelings during the listening days, because now that I'm facing the situation head-on, I am feeling much better within myself.
As well as wealth goals, I'm also planning to continue on with my health and fitness goals. So far I have lost 10kg since November, 2024. I think the two are very much linked, wealth and health compliment one another, so without further delay, here are my goals.
Goals:
1) maintain 5k+ in the every day banking account by the end of each month.
2) contribute monthly to a 20k+ savings account to ensure maximum interest is earned.
3) improve my communication skills and seek potential new financial options / opportunities.
4) accomplish monthly workout and diet quotas.
Actions:
1) start a services based business (already in progress, all the required registration and insurance completed).
2) track and log all income and expenses over the course of each month.
3) complete minimum 8 strength and conditioning sessions per month.
4) achieve 80%+ successful dietary days over the month.
5) read / study books for the purpose to learn communication skills and financial knowledge.
The main objective is to get my finances back in the black and longer term use that saved income to pay off the mortgage early. I haven't had internet banking for the mortgage account for many years, as my security code was sent to an old mobile phone number that I no longer have, so I don't know what I'm left owing. This is a fear of mine, ringing up to reactivate my online banking and seeing what I owe. I tell myself that I may be pleasantly surprised, but still something holds me back from sorting this out. I don't think this is the type of financial mindset that UMS will take too kindly to!
Anyway, that covers everything. I plan to begin keeping track of my income, expenses and actions in March, so only a couple of days away. I'll log this with pen and paper before writing a monthly summary here. I'll stick to the recommended listening schedule because even though the first block of listening days was rough, I think now that I'm moving in a positive direction, it will allow UMS to run smoother (or at least I hope so!).
