I've had an experience similar to this. When I began running PM, one of my cats fell in love with me. The other cat feared me to the point that she hissed, clawed, bit, etc when I would try to pick her up. The rest of the time she was running from me. When I took a break from PM, the fearful cat began warming up to me. Now that I'm running OSC 6G, that fearful cat actually approaches when I hold my hand out and rubs her body against me while purring.

The fearful cat was probably responding to something along the lines of high levels of androstenone.

Both cats are female. The cat that fell in love still is still in love. She hasn't changed. 

I hadn't considered the possibility of androstenone inducing fear.

The two cats have significantly different personalities. The cat that fell in love is the confident huntress that often stalks me. The fearful cat is a very gentle soul prefers to hide.
