I don't think the optimal volume has been calculated for DMSI 3.5. You may try a forum search to check if anything's been recommended, but I don't recall. So you set the volume to be comfortable using the masked track and then use that. Adjust accordingly if you feel the urge to. Just remember that if you want to play it too quiet it might be resistance.
