In a very interesting turn of events, I had a medical bill show up yesterday for $540. I called them up and complained, and they lowered it to $415. That is covered completely by the $500 check I got from my insurance company as a refund. So far MM seems to be covering all the financial negatives for me. I think we are out of the woods on medical bills from the accident now.
Ridiculous that I got this bill from an Urgent Care Center, which I chose to go to instead of Emergency, because I didn't want bills like this. Meanwhile the Emergency Room has charged me a total of... $66.
Ridiculous also that the only thing they did at the urgent care center (for which they originally charged me $840) was to ask me a serious of questions.
