A web-based player needing constant access to Internet? That sounds like a bad idea and a lot of things can go wrong with it, and the track can be easily interrupted. This will piss off some people.

I think it's a great idea to have an alternative option. It makes sense especially for in-the-moment subs, pain relief, awakaner etc.

Agree on this. The only type of subs for which a subscription model makes sense.
