I think that if someone executes well OFv2, then OFv3 will not be a significant difference, but in someone who is no executing OFv2, than OFv3 is worth a try.

I never buy and use OF other than OF v3. My starting point when introduced with the subs is 5.75.5G which is USLM v4.2.
But whatever the reason, if we use Shannon'n point of view about fear, by all means, OF v3 is worth to try.
Some use EPRHA as foundation of their subs journey, some use OF.
Someone who use variation of OF could give better insight by experience.
