Hope you've been off to a good start in this new year.
I've taken a break from MHS as suggested. It seems like MHS may have been a "band-aid" on my injury. There was less day to day pain during use than there is now, but it doesn't seem like anything has actually been healed. The pain feels close to what I remember it being before I started use. I've also been able to get better sleep and sometimes sleeping longer than I thought I would. I'm going to search to see if I'm missing something in how I'm approaching the injury.
If I continue to use MHS, what would you recommend for days on/off?
I suggest you look for (E-1)+R, where E = Exhaustion, and R = Rest. In other words, run it until you are exhausted, then rest until you are not, and use it for 1 day less than what causes exhaustion and however many days are required to recover from the exhaustion. Or (E-1)+(R-1). One of those two should be optimal for results for your situation.
