If I was to work on UMS v2 and nothing else until it was done, it would require 2 solid months if nothing at all went wrong.
Since we don't have an advertising campaign going right now, for various messed up reasons I can't do much about, that would mean I would have to rely on running the business on what we would make without releasing anything new in that time. That's not going to cut it. So I have to stagger the build of each part with building something to offer for sale. That makes it take at least 2x as long. So it may be 4 to 6 months to build UMS v2, and potentially even longer. You have time.
This is part of why I hate building this level of technology in multi-stage sets.
Plus, this is a time when things are going wrong regularly. I mean like, it's falling out of the sky at this point, and it will be getting worse until the middle of January. The models are unstable more than they're stable right now, and getting anything out of them at all is 10x harder and slower than normal, except for short, unpredictable bursts of stability during which I have to work like mad to get as much done as possible. That slows things down a lot. Then it will take at least 3 more months to fade out enough to be worth much for making things better. And this is all stuff that is out of my hands to control.
I know things will get better, but these cycles we are dealing with (you're also seeing their effects in the pandemic and the political, economic and financial instability worldwide) are unfortunately some of the slowest cycles that affect us. They take months and years to do their thing. I'm just thankful that this will be the last impact of the cycle that appears to have triggered the pandemic. The second wave of that should peak in January, and then drop off significantly if that is the cycle that has been having that influence.
So given that... you have plenty of time.
But if you want to wait, there is always that option also.
