Also, as a programmer myself I'm excited to read about you getting excited about relearning yourself some programming with this new Xojo version!
I am enjoying it, but it's also frustrating. Teaching myself is required in this case, and with something as complex as a programming language, even with great documentation it takes time. Programming has also become more developed and complex than when I was doing it a lot.
Last time I taught myself programming it was my love and passion for what I was creating a program for that led to me doing what was necessary through the many hours and days of frustration trying to find my way through. I suppose it will be not much different this time. But the pain it will save me will definitely be worth the pain of figuring this out!
