@Shannon is sexual energy a "base" energy that prevents someone from indulging in higher level spiritual pursuits? Specifically, I'm wondering if while someone is using DMSI where they are flooded with sexual energy, that would inhibit from pursuing spiritual practices that try to get a person into more of a vibration of unconditional love. Are those two things mutually exclusive?

You can experience sexual energy and unconditional (or any other kind of) love at the same time.  The question is, which one iis dominant, and if neither, can you maintain that balance?  

If your goal is what it sounds like here, DMSI is not going to make that goal easy, unless you are very skilled at mastering your own energy and emotional states and balances.
