I have a question regarding the Non Directional Shield in UMS. Does it have permanent effect or only gives the protection during the days of listening to the sub?

Does DRS has a permanent effect after 3 months?

Any time you have energy manipulations scripted into a sub, they can become permanent to a degree, but thy will not remain in active effect as they exist when the program is playing.    The effect will be much less pronounced when you are not using the sub after a period of time - usually around 1 to 4 weeks, depending on specifics.  This is because it takes a constant amount of energy to cause those effects, and they only remain in full effect while there is a constant source of motivation - i.e., the sub is being used.
