By the by, is the second shield idea also a dual-layered one, like this TAS here, but perhaps maybe with DRS functionalities in it? ("What you can't transmute and absorb, reflect in the second layer?")

The only reason the TAS is dual layer is that we must consider what to do if the first layer cannot accomplish its goals, or cannot do so fast enough.

The next shield will probably not be dual layer, but who knows.  It may end up being.  I'm pretty sure it won't.  The next shield will not use reflection.
