ALRA has turned out to be much more complex than I had originally envisioned, so I have diverted my efforts to building a couple of new auric shields to tide us over for the time being and publish something.
The one I am working on right now is the Transformational Absorbtion Shield (TAS). It's the one that allows you to absorb incoming negativity and transform it into positive energy that you can then use. This should have taken me 1-2 days, and we are on day 6. I am hoping to have it finished being built today or tomorrow, and then published shortly thereafter.
Depending on circumstances, I may then return to ALRA or build the second shield I had in mind, which I have not yet detailed, and which I will detail further when I have it ready to release. Suffice it to say, that shield is also interesting.
Right now everything seems to be a struggle. During the build process, I use Windows in a virtual machine to transform the written scripts into spoken speech recordings, and that process usually takes about 20-30 minutes. Recently, Windows decided that it wasn't happy being alive and started locking up. But somehow, it is defeating the protection afforded by the virtual machine and locking up my whole Linux system, so hard that CTRL-ALT-Backspace does nothing, and neither does any other attempt at input. The only option is a hard reset. Before this, the only time I have ever seen that happen was when I had a bad RAM chip. Maybe my hardware is dying.
Five times this morning alone, I had to forcibly shut my computer down because of this issue. This has been going on for three days now. The good news is, I have been preparing a backup build environment for just such an occasion, and that one is functional. It may have taken several days to get situated, but I was able to record the audio for the TAS this morning successfully. Now we just have to process it.
So we are making some progress, if not as fast as I would normally.
How far do you have til you are out of the cycle?
IIRC you said march april time frame.
It's a shame this cycle is lingering around preventing you from making developments on FRM 4.9 and other programs.
By April most of the functionality should have been restored. Until then, it's going to be a situation where unexpected things take place that slow me down. A lot. It may be July before the cycle ends completely, but I'm not worried about the effects it has past March/April, they should have become minor by then.
I'm still working on FRM 4.9, but it's just forcing me to work on that offline, since I am busy trying to build something that doesn't need it yet. Got some interesting ideas to try out.
