Went to the auto shop to get my oil changed.  They did a courtesy check and showed me that my tires were bald.  I was shocked since I only have 15,000 miles on the odometer. I was told that the dealerships usually install the cheapest tires when they sell/lease a car.

Also, they showed me the difference between a new battery and the charge my battery was giving off. Sure, the battery I have starts the car. But, with summer weather approaching... why take the chance??

I see this as another sign that USLM4 is at work. Yes, I spent money on new tires and a new battery. However, bald tires could have led to an accident and the battery could have died and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere.

When on USLM3 I found my car battery was struggling to start the car and failed once which meant I missed my yoga class that evening. I took the battery off and charged it overnight. Meanwhile I ordered a small power pack jumpstarter to keep in the glovebox from Amazon 'to get me out of trouble' if the battery died again. I also realised if I turn the ignition key to the red lights for 5 seconds the fuel pump will pump enough fuel to start the car as soon as the starter is engaged without taxing the battery. That was at the beginning of winter. Now, about 6 months later, I'm still on the same battery, so for me it worked another way
