Round 3 Complete as of evening 4/30/19
-50 dB, US FLAC, Speaker (AUX cable), 2 ft from source, 3 loops while sleeping
Monday, 4/29, I woke up and completely changed my goals for a day. I don't know wtf I was thinking. I felt desperate, indecisive, and off-key. I was back on track by Tuesday, but still felt a bit off mentally and emotionally.
Took my son to Avengers:Endgame in IMAX 3D Tuesday afternoon (2 of 3 listening days under-my-belt). I wanted to see it in just plain IMAX, but those showings were near sold out, so I settled for the 3D time. The movie started, and not in 3D. The picture froze after 5 minutes, and the lights came up. We were told that the 3D wasn't working, given free passes, and the movie restarted in regular IMAX. So we got to see the movie in the format I wanted, in great seats, got 2 free passes good for any movie, any format, anytime, with a very minor inconvenience - perhaps 10 minutes of waiting time for the movie to start again. I'd say that was pretty good luck.
Last night we went to dinner to celebrate my son's birthday, and invited my dad to join us (mom had something, couldn't join). We were going to pay for my dad, but he wouldn't hear of it, and instead insisted on picking up the whole check. That was nice, too.
The plan is to listen to intuition as to how to listen this week (but only changing one variable). If this week goes anything like the last two, then 4 off-days will be enough. We'll see.
