I'm on my phone so can't make a lengthy reply (thank God, right? Lol) but I have had customers try to impress me more than once.
I don't think I've ever sold anything where the customer begrudgingly bought. They were always very pleased.
One, it's not about dangling rewards, it's about showing them you can help them achieve their goals.
Anyhow, I am intrigued by your experience, what would you say dmsi needs to be a good womanizing sub?
