Had the pleasure of seeing Matt Pike twice at Psycho Las Vegas. Been listening to Holy Mountain non-stop for the last 3+months. Man is a freaking stoner god.

I’d love to have seen that. High on Fire are great. My favourite kind of metal is dark, fast, gritty and aggressive rather than technical, straddling the fine line between relentless groove and getting out of control. Some of High on Fire newer songs are like that, and those are the ones I dig the most. But they haven’t recorded a weak song yet.

I started paying attention to stoner and sludge when I first heard Neurosis. For certain type of mood, it does me better than anything else. I'll check out Sleep now too.
