Yes, thanks to the healing in Shannon's subs, I've learned to (at least try) to stop generalizing white men and marking them all as racist. After all, the business mentor that literally, LITERALLY saved my life this year is a white man who's benefiting far less from our business arrangement than I am. He just saw a guy in trouble -- regardless of race -- and decided to help.
Likewise, look at Shannon. A white man with extraordinary abilities, who could say, "fuck this morality shit" and use his skills purely for personal profit and gain.
It's kinda like this: You could have a giant, lake sized tub full of crystal, clear and clean water and if one drop of pee hits that pool, suddenly the entire thing is beyond reprieve. I don't want to look at my fellow mankind like that. But when you have a childhood like mine, it's tough. And when the media is constantly trying to beat you down, it gets even harder. And that goes for both sides -- white men being told they're sexist for trying to sit comfortably on a NYC subway, or that they're racist for this way or the other.
But everyone has to introspect and see how we can help each other heal -- it's not just the fault on one side.
