RE: 'Tension'
Think back to all the 'first times' with the partners in your lives. Nothing says that 'tension' is a prerequisite. Most times, it just sort of happens, after the initial days (or weeks) of blue balls/tension. Lots of tension, usually means just lots of LMR to overcome due to ASD.
For the sake of science, let's remember that black and white thinking inevitably leads to being either 100% correct or 100% wrong. You're saying there are only two possibilities here, but there are not. Far from it; I could come up all day with scenarios that explain it alternately.
