I don't get very excited about anything anymore, either. It's like an even-keeled attitude. Less ups, but less downs too.
I think people see "new" stuff as their "savior" - the "thing" that will make them happy (!!!), and they get all excited. The feeling lasts for a short time, and then it's on to get that next new thing!
I think it's a sign of maturity and emotional intelligence to not get excited. There's more internal supply of validation and satisfaction, and less external is needed/wanted.
What do you think?
oh man i couldn't agree with you more RTBoss. I think it's alpha behavior to be emotionally stable, not letting highs and lows go too far to the extremes. one of my bosses always mentions that being in control of emotions is extremely important for success in life... and he's probably the best example of ascendant alpha in my life
