I'm loving card reading more and more.
I was reading about the psychedelic thing on frosted's thread. And to confirm my opinion on the use of it I drew some cards.
A 5 of spade came out first then a 5 of heart. It took me around 3 minutes to understand why it came out.
The Spade represent working on yourself, the heart represent working on your emotion, emotional fulfillment.
The 5 is hard card, it's a difficult thing that require long term work. It's the step before having a lot of success in the material world.
The 4 is stability, it's having your things worked out to a comfortable stage, but it's not amazing, it's safe and becomes boring after a while. It's like having a basic/standard salary to meet your needs (diamond) or a basic/standard relationship (heart) or a basic/standard confidence to work through difficulty(spade) , it's good but it's not exceptional, it's not a 6. Then comes the 5 where you are working to become successful in one area, to be at the top, to be an expert on something, what ever that something is (love, money, self improvement).
That process of the 5 takes long term focus and is not easy, it's actually the number that take the most time.
So what does it have to do with psychedelic?
Well most psychedelic from what I seen are "sold" as a shortcut that will make you the thing. In short to skip that process of the 5, they are avoiding reality which require long term focus before having great success.
So what is the answer I got? That anything that doesn't require long term work on yourself (spade) and emotions (heart) aren't the right way to do things if you want that 6.
