Stage 2, Day 9,
Okay, things are starting to pick up a bit;
- Yesterday, I cleaned out my room and turned it into a quasi-study (lots of space, a small desk with chair)
- A few days ago, I cleared out 200+ GBs of my computer's hard drive. I'm still unsatisfied with the computer's performance, but it has made a difference. I'm confident that I can upgrade to an i7 with a relatively smaller hard drive (roughly 250 GB as opposed to my current size of 1TB), and keep any vital files on my current laptop.
- My mind shuts out videos that may distract me much more than ever; I could be tempted to look at a stray video, but my mind goes "NO!" and I snap out of it.
- Same with fapping; I think that having a mind that snaps away from any thoughts that lead towards jerking off really helps.
Stage 2, Day 10,
I'm convinced that if I can upgrade my laptop, I can optimize my workload and increase my productivity by over an hour a day. Probably even two hours a day. No joke. There are simply so many hiccups and frictions when it comes to loading webpages, that a task that could have taken me 10-15 minutes took me 40-45 minutes. Jumping from word to word in my online language reading website takes about 1-2 seconds per word, when it could easily become 0.25 seconds. In other words, I need a laptop that works faster than my brain does.
Also, I'm of the opinion that each of these little hiccups cause a mini-frustration within me. Built up over time, it can become a source of stress. I look forward to seeing how a fast machine can improve my mental health (not that it's in jeopardy to begin with).
Stage 2, Day 12,
Thinking about buying a Bathmate; basically a pump for your johnson. Then again, these lines of thought come from my noFap streaks.
Stage 2, Day 13,
Yesterday was my last day at my dishwasher job. I spent Friday and Saturday training the new guy; he's a true independent thinker, sort of the late-teenage 'look-down-at-dumb-people' mentality, but very smart, quiet, and will probably work out.
My colleagues bought me a nice wool sweater. No, seriously. It's very nice, and very nice of them.
My grandfather is lending me his car for my commute to my new job. I'm getting his car for free, so these are very nice gains, virtually at no cost on my part. I'm grateful, and I look forward to contributing and making due.
My first day at my new job will be tomorrow; with this money, I can look into buying a quality laptop (finally).
Stage 2, Day 15,
Having random sex fantasies my new job. There's no one in particular who interests me; it's just that 2+ weeks without busting does that. This job will be pretty easy, and I'm left alone for the most part, so I suspect I can get my entire workload done pretty quickly, and maybe find a daily 30 minute chunk to draft my book.
Looking at new laptops; it seems like I'll need to clunk down at least 1000 bucks to get a great laptop; maybe 800-900 bucks for an above average laptop. Amazon.com won't ship to Canada, and they have all the best prices, so I'll likely buy from my area. I'm now a stickler for speed and performance; I really want i7 and 8GB ram minimum. But, on an i5, I tried LingQ, and the different is enormous. WOW! So quick.
Stage 2, Day 16,
Took out a couple of library books on Law (short introductions). I'm in over my head with library books, especially since I put in a request for an inter-library loan of 4 books.
Work is going well; I can probably put the pay from my first week, plus my pay from my final days at the restaurant to pay for a new laptop. I think everything will go okay as it comes to finding things to do with my job.
Stage 2, Day 17,
I've realized that I haven't really had any negative thoughts recently. I've also realized that any other person's negativity (ranting, etc.) doesn't get to me, though I may observe that they are negative. I've also noticed that I don't look down on other peoples' stupid mistakes, or downright stupidity, but rather with compassion, or just simple observation. My new manager also said that I could be a GQ model (lol). She doesn't know the first thing about Microsoft Word (lol baby boomers..)
In short, my intuition is telling me to stick with my current job at the moment. First, I can use a handful of free time at work (since it's very flexible) to write my current book.
Stage 2, Day 18,
My first day of working independent, and it went pretty well. I have to work for four hours tomorrow (a Saturday), but I just have to unlock a building, chill for four hours while people party, then lock the door, so I can sit around and read my books. Plus, I get paid for that! And..!! I can take this time off work in other moments.
Also, I can soon bring a laptop soon and draft my book. That's 3-4 hours of solid writing; probably 2-4K words. My book will definitely be over 200K words, so every little bit helps.
I had a mini-breakthrough at work. I can use my full book, and create 50 page books that I release as perma-free on Amazon, Kobo, iTunes, then use a goodie for an email funnel. That way, I could create an email list. I already have great content, useful for a couple of lists.
There are a couple things that I can get on Fiverr (graphics, research etc.). But for now, I need to keep researching and draft my damn book.
Stage 2, Day 19,
[Post redacted by user in ordinance to Rule #4]
Stage 2, Day 20,
With confidence, I can update one of my bullet points:
37. Get Out Of Debt: 10/10: After paying off 3000$, I only have 0.42$ of student debt left. I am virtually (but not officially) debt-free !!
This same day, I renewed my professional certification (600$), bought some new dress pants (35$), and bought a new i7 laptop (1300$.. finally!) and mouse. This added up to 4975$, in a 3 hour period. lol Fortunately, this won't happen everyday.
First post from my new laptop; tl;dr, it's awesome, and wicked quick.
I figure that I could easily get into gaming with this laptop. It could be an okay way to let off some steam. I have Microsoft Office installed, albeit tenuously; the 'Word' program informed me that I didn't have the proper keygen, but it let me in anyway.
Having a new mouse also makes a big difference; my old mouse was damaged, due to the fact that I had dropped it a long time ago, ruining the scroll pad. Thus, the mouse would inform my laptop to jump around the screen unpredictably. Now, it works as it should.
Now, I can look into doing online business; I probably would have pulled out all my hair if I had to do it from my old laptop. This laptop will double my productivity, no lie.
Hey man,
I'm gonna have to get you to edit the politics talk. It was meant to be a rule but wasn't actually in the rules section but I added it today. As it's similar to the other subjects in rule 4 that can get heated with opinions.
Quote:(Modified 7/11/16) Rule 4 Expanded - Users may not make mention of or discuss politics. As per the rest of rule 4 there will be a thread in the chatter box to do so.

Alright; I'll modify post #65. If you want me to modify more posts, please advise.
Stage 2, Day 21,
Still on my noFap streak. It's my third longest ever. After 2 days, it'll be my second longest ever.
I'm working on a project that requires a lot of self-discipline, and would have been over my head before beginning my BASE run. I'm glad that I won't be taken off course.
I saw Hacksaw Ridge; it didn't hit all the emotional buttons that I thought it would, but it was still a great movie nonetheless.
