Quote:Also Wildflower, did you read any of those books recommended by Shannon in the Alpha set instructions?
I had already read Double your dating a few times before hand (not a big fan of it really) but I did get a copy of the other book recommended. I can't remember it's name now, but I read it about 3 times in total in a PDF format whilst "working" at my old job. It's a good book - definitely better than double your dating - but still not crucial. I think Shannon recommended the two books for people completely new to self improvement / what Alpha male behaviour is / how to interact with women / etc. If I'm honest with you K-Train I don't think you personally need to read them at all. They can't hurt if you do want to read them though.
Quote:Effects wise I notice that past events where I acted un-Alpha
Snap. I noticed this too. Not quite as early as Day 2, but past times where I had been very un-Alpha 'popped' into my memory, I just sort of giggled to myself about them and then let them drift of into the abyss.
Quote:I'm noticing that I don't mind doing things on my own
Again, Snap! This was a very prominent effect I had all the way through the Alpha set and still have it now; just a real comfort and security to being on my own, doing my own thing. I really became my own best friend during the Alpha set and consequently became 'my own boss' of what I want to do, what I value, what is important to me. Overall just a real strengthening of 'self'.
Quote:I also notice I'm more sociable, and willing to talk with people and they in turn have been very open to talking to me as well.
Paradoxically to my last point, I too was a lot more social. A lot more polite too. Like I'd taken on the role of the 're-assurer' and I had to guide people through socialising.
I don't think what you are seeing is placebo. I to found with the Alpha set that there was always a surge of effects at the beginning of each stage. Lasting about 4 or 5 days in total before settling down for a few weeks and then peaking again. If you are weary that it might be placebo though just let me know so I don't keep leaving 'spoilers' like this in your journal.
I'm gad your seeing results already and things are only going to get a whole lot better. Sit back!
