Thanks Shannon, that's a good idea that I didn't think of. I wonder if audacity or a similar program can generate silent audios. I'll have a look.
It's very simple with Audacity. It has a "generate silence" function where you simply set the length of time of silence you want to generate and then save it as an audio file of your choice.
