Depression usually indicates that the program is making headway with some part of you that desperately does not want to face or do what the program is trying to achieve. It develops depression when it realizes that stopping the program is hopeless, and it communicates that to your conscious through magnifying that feeling until it becomes obvious at a conscious level.
Head pressure is almost always either resistance or overload. But if it's not accompanied by exhaustion, it's resistance. In some cases, depending on the type of resistance, it can be resistance even when it is accompanied by exhaustion, because some types of resistance result in the cooperative and non-cooperative parts battling it out and exhausting you. The solution there is to increase the pressure by increasing the strength of the cooperative parts, which is usually easiest to do by increasing volume.
As far as I have been able to tell all forms of resistance ultimately, and always, boil down to fear, and the fear always seems to boil down to a fear of death.
