Problem is I have no idea how I can improve my look. I'm confused because I'm not experienced with fashion or hairstyle or which style is suit for me.

Become "relaxed but fitted."

Nerds and geeks like us tend to have rigid ideas about clothes and often take things to extremes; it will either be entirely for our own comfortability or it will be entirely for some particular place's dress code (e.g. be stuffy and keep a tucked-in shirt at all times even outside of work).

I gave Sarge style advice here and advocate the same with one difference. If you have short hair, try to style it up; it might look douchey but if your glasses are dark colored and thick rimmed then you can probably pull it off. Think Adam Levine from Maroon 5, chicks LOVE that guy.
