When I do it it is totally hiding from all the crap in my life, but while I do it I have to literally hide as well, i.e. from my wife. She hates me playing computer games. There's something about locking myself in the loo to hide from my wife for 2 hours playing Age of Empires that makes me feel worse about the crap I was hiding from in the first place.
